Lured Away Sportfishing is located in Barcelona, NY. We specialize in walleye fishing, but we can also put you on a variety of fish species as in lake trout, Steelhead and perch. Our primary method is trolling with hard baits and worm harnesses. Here at Lured Away, we can accommodate your schedule whether it be a morning, afternoon or evening trip. When scheduling a trip , let Captain Steve know what your availability is and we will work around your schedule. Your safety and comfort is of foremost concern to us and we are compliant with all State and Federal regulations regarding Fishing Charters and Boating.
Dress for Success
The weather is rarely as predicted when out on Lake Erie!!! Cool, breezy conditions are common in the morning and warmer, sunny conditions can dominate into the evening at times. Dress in layers and be prepared for a full range of temperatures one might encounter for that time of year. Wear a hat and bring along your favorite sun screen. The Predator has a canvas top which helps to protect against the beating sun, however it is important to use sun screen SPF 30 or higher when on the water. Soft soled shoes, flip flops or crocks. Please no boots.
You are welcome to bring along a small cooler with food and drinks. Dehydration is a common occurrance when out on the water. We will always have water aboard the boat. The Predator is a wide-beam stable boat, however if you are prone to motion sickness, we advise you take whatever medicine you prefer on the evening before your charter. Avoid acidic or spicy food before your charter but be sure to eat.
Lured Away crew will be happy to clean and package your catch up at no additional charge. Some people like to take the catch home whole and prepare it the way they like. We just ask to bring a cooler with ice large enough for your catch. Leave it in your vehicle until the trip is over we will provide the packaging.
You’re in luck, the Walleye population in Lake Erie is at an all-time high!!! Catches in recent years have been fantastic!
